How your head is like a power plant.

Wondering what was up with the annoying on again off again steam blows. Here's the simple explanation. Let's say you're not on a date and not trying to impress anyone special with your suave like charm and you realize that your left nasal cavity is not working at full capacity. With no hanky in sight you plug every orifice except the one with the snot plug and blow, all the while keeping your fingers crossed that you won't get an aneurysm. Steam blows take this process to an extreme. The HRSG (your lungs) develop a head of steam and when some one in the control room (your brain) decides there's enough pressure a valve (your throat) opens and expels from the steam pipes (your nose) any debris (snot) that is in the system, all the while praying that all the bolts hold together.
