The Heliostats are mounted on bases with motorized gears that track the sun and keep the reflected light trained on the collector.

The tower is called the collector and absorbs the heat directed to it by the Heliostats.

Molten salt is pumped through the heat transfer tubes at the top of the tower and is used to turn water into steam that drives a Steam Turbine Generator
